Project Description:

CLEARAS’ Advanced Biological Nutrient Removal (ABNR) uses microalgae in photo bioreactors to capture low levels of Phosphorus and Nitrogen in secondary effluent while producing high value Algae biomass.  This process requires nutrients, sunlight, and CO2 for algae to grow, all available at wastewater treatment facilities (WWTF).  CLEARAS Water Recovery has matched its proven ABNR system with CO2 production from on-site combustion of anerobic biogas or biogas scrubbers (prior to pipeline export) to dramatically reduce Carbon emissions from WWTFs
