Project Description:

Our project was the design and implementation of a wireless bike speedometer. The system used a magnetometer to measure magnetic heading, an ESP32 microcontroller for calculating speed from the magnetic heading data, as well as Bluetooth transmission to a wireless display. The system had a lithium polymer battery for power and a charging circuit for recharging the battery when the system is not in use. All electronics were implemented on a single 2-layer PCB. The system operated successfully, and output accurate speed data to a wireless display.
