Project Description:

As the energy sector is seeking viable means of moving away from fossil fuels and toward renewable fuel sources, the race to establish infrastructure to meet the growing energy needs of our society is quickening its pace.  Hydrogen has long been considered a viable alternative to fossil fuels, but difficulties in the transportation and storage of hydrogen present a unique set of challenges which limit its market presence.  This project is centered on designing a battery power storage and compression system for a fully modular, solar-powered, and membraneless hydrogen electrolyzer unit that generates hydrogen gas from water and prepares it for safe transportation.
