Project Description:

her. pads aims to improve diagnostic pre-screening methods for women's health related conditions. The menstrual pad will function as a regular sanitary pad, however it will also provide a diagnostic feature which informs the user of their hormone levels which can be related to certain conditions such as endometriosis, poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and cervical cancer. The user will wear the pad for an allotted time frame, then on the back of the pad there will be a test strip which will report semi-quantitative hormone concentration levels. This will provide a means to make pre-screening methods for women's health related conditions less invasive and more affordable without sacrificing accuracy.
