Project Description:

Team 123 was tasked with creating a solution for the traversal of 16 Psyche's surface environment. The teams sponsor was NASA and Arizona State University's Psyche Program. The Psyche Program is currently exploring options for a hypothetical surface mission to 16 Psyche in addition to their ongoing orbiter mission.

The team decided on designing and testing a remote sensor dispersal program capable of either replacing a typical mobile probe, or supplementing one. The result was a spring-powered launch system that is capable of theoretically launching a projectile up to a kilometer in Psyche's conditions.
