Project Description:

The project was established when the team sponsor Dr. Philmus have faced an issue with taking stable or high-quality pictures of petri-dish. There was a previous attempt to solve the issue, but it did not go well. Team 119 (plate imaging systems) has been tasked with creating a new design that overcomes the challenges faced by Dr. Philum’s laboratory and satisfies both engineering and customer requirements. The team plate imaging systems have started with gathering information about the sponsor requirements, the environment of the design, and the possible failure factors. The team created several sketches and prototypes to note the performance and modify the design. The design has been tested and gone through several processes to ensure its functionality and convenience. The design created by the team plate imaging system provides several important features such as a light source, low-cost, robustness, flexibility, and reliability.
